Middlesex home Residents embrace opportunity to learn during National Wildlife DayResidents and Colleagues enjoyed a day of animal-themed activities, to mark National Wildlife Day today.

The event offered Residents themed activities such as participating in butterfly themed crafts, games, quizzes, animal bingo and an afternoon movie on the large screen at HC-One’s Cedar House in Harefield, Middlesex.

The event provides the perfect opportunity for everyone to engage in conversations and share their experiences and knowledge on the different species. Resident Peter (pictured) really enjoyed playing the animal themed bingo with fellow Residents.

This year, National Wildlife Day took place on February 22nd 2020 and September 4th 2020 and serves to bring awareness of endangered animals nationally as well as globally, that need to be preserved and rescued each year.

A Colleague who is part of the activities team at Cedar House, commented, “We have many Residents who have a great interest in nature and animals; so we were extremely happy that we could provide them with an opportunity to reminisce. It was a great conversation starter and a great way to socialise.”
