Manchester care home Residents send handmade cards to loved onesResidents at HC-One’s Appleton Manor in Bredbury, Greater Manchester have sent some beautiful handmade cards to their loved ones from lockdown.

On 5th August, Appleton Manor care home wellbeing coordinator Sarah, tasked Residents with creating some beautiful handmade cards that they can write in to send to their loved ones to let them know they are doing fine during lockdown.

Sarah took pictures of Residents to attach to cards so that family and friends could see how well they are doing. The cards that were sent out said ‘making special memories’ on them, as Residents had made many memories during the activities they took part in during lockdown.

Also slotted in the cards were other photos of Residents during activities to show that Residents were enjoying daily life.

Sarah, wellbeing coordinator said: “It’s nice to be part of making cards with the Residents for their family's & friends, creating special moments.”

“It’s lovely to be able to share these special moments with Residents. I get lots of feedback from families telling me how special these cards are to them, and how they love seeing pictures of them.”
