Manchester care home Residents experience virtual realityResidents at HC-One’s Avalon Park care home in Greater Manchester recently experienced a virtual reality world where they were able to drive a car and a lorry and even take a ride on a rollercoaster.

Avalon Park Residents were chosen to be treated to a full Virtual Reality set up. Residents could wear a headset and use the controllers to help them interact with the world around them.

The thrilling experience was enjoyed by all Residents in the home. The Residents of Avalon Park were gobsmacked about how real it felt whilst wearing the headset and driving the car with pedals and steering wheel.

Avalon Park Resident Roy said: “What a brilliant time, thanks for showing us this. It feels very real.”

Avalon Park Home Manager Renu Kataria said: “At Avalon Park we like to see variety in trips and excursions within our day to day activities.”

“Virtual Reality experiences are a one of a kind in house experience that is the next best thing to going for a trip out.”
