Local community supports Kendal care homeResidents and team members at HC-One’s Summerhill care home in Kendal have experienced generous and thoughtful acts from the local community during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Local primary school children have been lifting the spirits of Residents by sending lots of letters and pictures for all to admire. Resident’s commented that reading the letters from the children makes them feel connected with the community during these uncertain times.

Summerhill has also received generous egg-cellent donations from Parr Street Church and Morrisons, with the church donating fifty Easter eggs and the local supermarket donating a further thirty.

Summerhill Home Manager, Kathleen Dean said: “It’s wonderful to see our community coming together to support each other, everyone at Summerhill is proud to be part of our community and we look forward to continuing to support each other.”
