Lincoln care home colleague sets up sweetie trolley for ResidentsResidents at HC-One’s Willow Court care home in Lincoln were recently chatting to colleagues about old sweets and toffee’s, so the homes wellbeing coordinator decided to take them back down memory lane with a sweetie trolley.

Sue, Willow Court’s wellbeing coordinator, after some conversations with Residents, decorated the homes tea and coffee trolley with some colourful buntings and flowers before stocking it up with some tasty sweets from times gone by.

The trolley was set up with old fashioned brown sweets and paper bags so Residents can 'pick and mix'. Everyone loved the old-fashioned sweetie bags as it took them back to their childhoods when they used to enjoy bon bons and fudge biscuits.

Willow Court Home Manager said: “It’s great seeing everyone lined up eagerly awaiting their turn. Who doesn’t love a pick and mix?”

Residents thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, choosing from their favourites sweets from their childhoods and sitting down with other Residents reminiscing about times at the seaside and on holiday.
