Kind care is celebrated at Mansfield care homeTwo Colleagues at Berry Hill Park care home in Mansfield were recognised for their hard work after receiving a Kindness in Care Award.

David Parr was delighted to receive a Kindness in Care Award from Resident Mavis, who praised David for showing her nothing but kindness as he helps her with everything that he can.

Mavis added: “When I see David, my day is brightened up.”

Fellow Colleague, David Cook, was also pleased to receive a Kindness in Care Award after families of two Residents nominated him for the award. David kindly drove a Resident and his wife to the local hospital, while another family praised David for his ability to make their mother smile when she is down.

The Kindness in Care Awards programme was launched by HC-One, a leading provider in health and social care, in October 2013.  It recognises the efforts of their kindest colleagues, and the impact they have on the lives of Residents and their loved ones. Month on month, record breaking numbers of awards are presented to colleagues, volunteers, and whole teams within the family of homes that HC-One operates across the UK.

Sally Tebbett, Home Manager at Berry Hill Park, said: “It was a true pleasure to present David Parr and David Cook with their Kindness in Care Awards, which are a real reflection of the hard and kind care that they put into their work, day in day out.”
