Victoria Park care home in Ilkeston was delighted to donate some marvellous food hampers to the Cantaloupe Community Group.
Colleagues, Residents and their loved ones at Victoria Park helped donate non-perishable foods to the cause, including biscuits, tea, coffee, tinned goods and pasta.
Residents chose to donate the food to the Cantaloupe Community Group in memory of a past Resident at Victoria Park, who had been a volunteer there for many years.
The group has been a continuing support to the local community since it was established in the 1970s to support those in need.
David, a representative from the group, said: “Thank you so much for the food hampers. We are very grateful and the whole community group will love them.”
