Residents at HC-One’s Gittisham Hill House care home enjoyed an afternoon of celebrations as they commemorated the 75th anniversary of VE day together.
Everyone enjoyed waving flags around the home and the gardens as they got into the spirit of celebration, singing along to various war time songs.
The sun shone brightly as everyone embraced the warm spring weather, with Residents sitting down to enjoy an afternoon cream tea complete with various sweet treats and refreshments.
Everyone enjoyed discussing their memories of VE day 75 years ago and spoke of the exciting celebrations they shared.
Marita Westaway, home manager, commented: “It’s been such a fantastic day for everyone, the sunshine made the day more special and it was just nice to hear everyone’s memories.”
