Hole in one for Resident Roy at Oldham care homeRoy Urey, a Resident at HC One’s Avalon Park, enjoyed an afternoon of playing golf in the home.

Colleagues at the Oldham care home hosted a warm up round for the in home golf tournament that they had set up.

Resident Roy nominated himself to play first because he is a keen golfer. His son is even a captain of his local club too.

Roy took to the indoor green and bagged himself a lucky hole in one. It was great exercise for Roy and he loved the whole experience.

Over 3 courses he made par so the result was fantastic too. Well done Roy!

Roy commented “I loved that what a nice change, although I can’t get to a course the home made the course come to me!”

The home manager said “at Avalon Park we are constantly looking how we can bring previously loved activities to the home, and give them a dusting off for the Residents.”
