Hayes care home Residents begin gardening clubResidents at HC-One’s Aston House care home have enjoyed getting active as they have began a new indoor gardening club in the home.

The Residents got to grips as they began sowing seeds and bulbs into their pots and watered them, using egg tray cartons in place of the usual plastic pots.

Everyone felt involved in the activity, building their confidence and improving mood. Gardening is such a wonderful activity for everyone to take part in, especially as it acts as such a good stress reliever.

Seema Jose, home manager, commented: “Gardening is such a therapeutic activity for Residents to take part in. The sensory experience is something that is beneficial to all.”
