HC-One’s Stoneleigh care home in Stanley hosted its annual Harvest Festival on Friday 27th September while supporting national charity, Silver Sunday.
The seasonal event included stalls, scarecrows, autumnal food and live entertainment for all to enjoy. Residents enjoyed browsing the stalls and admiring the different items.
The Harvest Festival is an annual celebration that takes place around the time of the main harvest and provides the opportunity to give thanks for a successful yield.
Susan Dodds, home manager at Stoneleigh said: “The harvest festival is an important day in our calendar when we can encourage community engagement, create new links with our Residents, and hopefully form new friendships.”
