Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Dove Court care home enjoyed an afternoon of celebration as the home opened its doors to host their harvest festival.
Mayor of Burnley, Ann Kelly, attended the home as they held a harvest sing-a-long, as well as a harvest collection which consisted of donations for Burnley Community Kitchens, with representatives visiting the home to thank everyone for their kindness.
A Macmillan coffee afternoon was also held in the home, which raised a wonderful £173 before entertainment was provided by Mike Quinn, regular entertainer at the home.
Everyone enjoyed themselves, and Residents especially enjoyed seeing and speaking to the Mayor.
Catherine Brierley, Home Manager, commented: “A great day has been enjoyed by all, today has been made so special by all who helped and attended the event.”
