Harrogate care home Residents enjoy afternoon teaResidents at HC-One’s Grosvenor House care home enjoyed a good old-fashioned afternoon tea party on Tuesday 14th July.

Residents enjoyed vol-a-vents, bite sized sandwiches containing cucumber, smoked salmon, coronation chicken, as well as pork pies, cheese scones, mini chocolate eclairs, mini muffins and of course a good old cup of tea.

Grosvenor House Resident Josie said: “It was a really lovely afternoon and the food was delicious.”

The afternoon was accompanied by music from the 60’s and 70’s in the background which Residents know very well. A lovely time was had by all.

Afternoon teas are an important activity for Residents to be involved in as it brings together groups of people who engage in meaningful conversation which helps improve social skills and mood.

Lezlee Leahy, Grosvenor House wellbeing coordinator said:” Our Residents really enjoyed the old-fashioned afternoon tea, it was nice to be able to take their minds off of lockdown for an hour or two.”
