Grimsby Residents enjoy making tasty boozy trufflesResidents at HC One’s Clarendon Hall care home enjoyed an afternoon cookery club, with boozy truffles on today’s menu.

With gloves and aprons at the ready, Residents at the Grimsby home were eager to get creative with the ingredients to make some tasty truffles.

The three different flavour combinations decided upon were port and cherry, sherry and coconut and the classic rum and raisin.

The Residents laughed and teased about how much alcohol was being added, and enjoyed mixing things together and adding sprinkles to the tops of their creations.

One Resident joked “if you put in any more booze, the staff won’t be allowed to drive home after having one!”

Finally the best bit of the class arrived – tasting. The chocolates practically all disappeared so it is safe to say that they must have tasted good! Overall it was a wonderful afternoon.
