Green-finger award hopefuls make finishing touches at Glasgow care homeResidents at HC-One’s Ailsa Craig care home in Glasgow have been making their finishing touches to their green-finger award entries.

Ailsa Craig Residents, from all three units, took cuts from spider plants and other garden plants and soaked them in water until the roots grew back. They then put them in pots and added more soil to them.

Resident have been caring for their plants in their room, with some looking after their plants that have been brought in for them by loved ones.

Bill, Irys, Alex, James, Brian, Winnie and Sandra were just some Residents who were making some final touches to their entries. Some have grown quite a lot and look very colourful, so Residents are looking forward to seeing who wins.

One Ailsa Craig Resident said: “It has been great fun looking after my little plant, I hope I win.”
