Glasgow care home Colleague dons Blue Suede Shoes to entertain ResidentsResidents at HC-One’s Wyndford Locks care home in Glasgow recently enjoyed a visit from the King of Rock, Elvis Presley, as the homes wellbeing coordinator dressed up to entertain Residents.

Residents recently enjoyed a sing along afternoon, and during this one of the Residents had said that they loved to listen to Elvis. After hearing this, Kevin, Wyndford Locks wellbeing coordinator came up with the idea of an Elvis afternoon.

With social distancing in mind, Colleagues arranged for the Residents to congregate in the day room so they could have their Elvis afternoon. To their surprise, Kevin appeared, dressed as the man himself and even sang a few of his classic songs, such as ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’.

Kevin, Wyndford Locks wellbeing coordinator said: “It’s a shame that we can’t have entertainers in the home so this is the next best thing, it’s all about having fun and staying safe.
