Residents at HC-One’s Elstree Court care home were delighted when Resident, Joyce, received a toy dog as a gift for her birthday.
The sensory dog, which changes colour when stroked or petted, was instantly a favourite of everyone in the home, with Joyce deciding to involve everyone in the home to name the dog.
The dog was taken around the home for all Residents and Colleagues to see, with names being placed into a basket before being chosen by Joyce.
The name that was chosen was Tobi, and everyone in the home was delighted to call the companion this.
Yolanda De Castro, home manager, commented: “I am so pleased that all Residents were able to come together on this little activity, a lovely name was decided.”
