Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Beeches care home in Dukinfield recently came together to celebrate a very special birthday with a very special Resident.
Beeches Resident, Eva, turned 99 on 1
st August and enjoyed celebrating it in Beeches care home with her friends and Colleagues.
Eva was treated to the traditional 99 ice cream with a flake, which has become a staple of a Residents 99
th birthday at the home, everyone must have one. The birthday girl then opened all her loved cards from her family and friends, who were right there with her on video call, before sharing out her cake with everyone at the home.
Later in the afternoon Eva enjoyed a sing along and some drinks in the homes cosy lounge with other Residents also joining in on the fun.
“I have had a lovely day,” said Eva.
Sade Smith, Beeches wellbeing coordinator said: “It was a lovely afternoon celebrating such an achievement of reaching 99 years old. Eva had a lovely day and was happy she could see her family via video on such a special day.”
