Chit-chat club and singing to musicals at Oldbury homeResidents at this West Midlands care home just love all getting together and having a good chat about their memories from childhood days.

Stories can be heard about when they went dancing together and when they wore stockings with a seam at the back; much different to how we live now in the twenty first century! And many of the Residents from Dingle Meadow care home, in particular, just love playing songs from musicals.

The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins and My Fair Lady are some of the firm favourites for the Residents. All set and filmed many years ago.

Today one of the carers from Dingle Meadow, Sarah, joined in and had a great laugh with a slice of cake for everyone and a nice cup of tea. One Resident said, “The carers never fail to make us laugh”

The differences between generations can be a great talking point. When you rewind back the clock 50,60 or even 70 years, life was very different and interesting for all to compare and chat about.
