HC-One’s Northview Lodge care home in Castletown, Tyne and Wear is celebrating having received the ‘Best Transformation’ award in the national HC-One gardening competition.
The HC-One gardening competition is an annual event where HC-One care homes across the UK enter different categories for different aspects of gardening. Northview Lodge was delighted when it was announced that they had won the ‘Best Transformation’ award.
The award special for everyone at Northview Lodge, but especially for Maintenance Operative, Alan Wilson, who built a large decking area and summerhouse as part the garden transformation.
Since the transformation, the garden has now become a popular spot for Residents and visitors to have a catch up or enjoy some quiet time.
Northview Lodge Home Manager, Patrick Morley said: “We are so pleased to have received this award, I would like to thank Alan on behalf of everyone at Northview Lodge for the hard work he has put in to transforming the garden.”
