Burns Night celebrations at Glasgow care homeResidents and team members at HC-One’s Ailsa Craig care home in Glasgow celebrated Burns Night on Saturday 25th January.

Burns Night is a celebration of the life of the bard Robert Burns which is traditionally hosted on the anniversary of his birthday, 25th January 1759. The day also commemorates Burns' contribution to Scottish culture, including his best known work, Auld Lang Syne.

Residents were treated to a variety of Scottish delicacies, including, haggis, neeps and tatties with a wee dram of whiskey to finish of the meal. Live entertainment was provided by William, the son of a Resident in the home.

One Resident commented: “What a wonderful evening, I enjoyed all of the dancing and delicious food.”
