Residents at Beaconsfield Court care home in Barnard Castle enjoyed an exciting visit to Blackpool Zoo.
The day began with a delicious picnic, filled with sweet and savoury treats for Residents to enjoy, before embarking on their visit to the zoo.
Residents were delighted to see species from across the whole animal kingdom at the zoo, from elephants, lions and tigers, to monkeys and lemurs, which were a firm favourite amongst the group.
The visit was rounded off with a delicious portion of fish and chips and a stroll along the Blackpool seafront.
Margaret, a Resident at Beaconsfield Court, said: “It’s been a lovely day. I am so grateful, Ken and I couldn’t have gone anywhere as nice as this without your help.”
