Ayr care home Resident create unique marble artResidents at HC-One’s Claremont care home in Ayr, have used their creativity and created some wonderful pieces of marble art.

The team at Claremont tasked Residents with making some art with marbles and paint. The boxes they used to hold the marbles in were flat packed, so Residents had to make the boxes themselves. This brought much laughter to the team and Resident as it was such a fiddly job.

Then after choosing their favourite colours, Residents poured the paint onto a card in the box and added the marbles of different sizes. By tilting the box at different angles, Residents created unique works of art that they were all very proud of.

Claremont Resident Winnie Hamilton said: “I have had so much fun and was very proud of the end result, it turned out better than I thought it would.”

The team at Claremont love to get creative when thinking of activities for Residents to carry out and enjoy. Whether it's making bird feeders out of milk cartons, using cookie cutters to make clay models or using coke bottles to paint cherry blossom trees, they always love to try something new.

Liz Galloway, Claremont activities coordinator said: “We all had so much fun with this activity, it will definitely be something we will do again soon.”
