Residents at HC-One’s The Daffodils care home recently decided to get artistic as they took part in an art project together.
Inspired by the world’s oldest cave art painting which situated in the Spanish El Castillo caves, Residents decided to re-create their own canvas version by using sand, glue and acrylic paint to produce a textured effect, and they then placed their hands onto the canvas to create the print.
The activity was a great success as Residents enjoyed participating after becoming so interested in the original cave paintings. The canvas will now sit proudly in the home for all to see when they enter the home.
Janine Marouf, Home Manager, commented: “This has been such a wonderful activity for Residents to take part in, they have all worked fantastically as a team to create this lovely piece of artwork.”
