Edith Thorpe, a Resident at Four Seasons care home in Bolton, was delighted to celebrate her 100th birthday surrounded by her loved ones.
As Edith was one of Bolton’s first ever firewomen, the local fire brigade joined in with the celebrations to wish Edith a very happy birthday.
The 100th birthday celebrations continued into the afternoon, as Edith’s nearest and dearest gathered at the home to celebrate the special day.
Local entertainer, John Fullen, performed a variety of ‘golden oldies’ for Edith’s family, friends and fellow Residents to sing and dance along to, before everyone tucked in to a delicious birthday buffet.

“Edith is a lovely lady and such an inspiration to the whole team at Four Seasons, as well as fellow Residents. It was amazing to see her smiling all day long as she celebrated her 100th birthday alongside her loved ones, with a special visit from the local fire brigade.”
