Overdene House care home in Winsford, Cheshire is introducing a very special “Namaste” care programme in to their care plans.  The Namaste care programme provides compassionate, holistic and person centre care to their most vulnerable of Residents and will comprise of hourly sessions several times a week.

The philosophy supports the spirit of the Residents, measuring their response to touch, smell, colour, taste and sound and focuses purely on the individual.

The Namaste Care programme is set in a calm and relaxed environment with pleasant aromas, seasonal displays, music and nature sounds. It encourages good nutrition with a variety of healthy snacks and drinks in each session to keep Residents hydrated and to help reduce weight loss.

Namaste encourages relaxation, improves sleep and increases appetite by boosting the senses with the use of scent and massage.
